Canaan-Yonsei Global Agricultural Leadership Program – 2008 Autumn Class
This is the 2nd batch of Canaan-Yonsei Global Agricultural Leadership Program (Oct 1 – Dec 20, 2008). Fully sponsored by POSCO students were from Chad (1), Colombia (2), China (1), Ethiopia (2), Ghana (1), Kenya (2), Malaysia (2), Myanmar (1), Nepal (2), Pakistan (1), Philippines (3), Senegal (1), Sierra Leone (1), Tanzania (2), and Uganda (3).
Jointly founded by Canaan Farmers School and Yonsei University in South Korea, we run 3-month-long training programs to educate and empower GO, NGO and community leaders of developing and underdeveloped nations to overcome extreme poverty and hunger through lasting and sustainable development.
Subjects covered include leadership development, team building, work ethics, project management, organic agriculture, IT, economic development, environment & sustainable development, global governance & civil society, HRD, community development, Saemaeul Undong (New Village Movement), illiteracy reduction, microcredit, fair trade, cooperative management, public health, disaster management, corruption reduction, ideal village, and global competencies.
