From its inception until today, Six Sigma has evolved and at present is much more than a defect control mechanism. Six Sigma methodology, together with an ISO 9000-type Document Control system avoids negligence of vital factors, provides accurate logistic results, allows for insight into long term project results and prevents process personnel from resorting to any previously used plan of action.
